Play shares the stories that should belong only in a child’s nightmare; tales of bloodthirsty dolls, grotesque puppets, and cutthroat stuffed toys. Each of them has been condensed into only 500 words, making them perfect for tonight’s bedtime story.
My own story, “sounds of the farm animal,” also has a place.
What I loved about this theme was that it reminded me of all the horror stories that my friends and I use to tell each other as kids. A sleepover or a camping trip wasn’t complete without someone deciding it was a good idea to tell a ghost story and then everyone staying up late afraid.
